A six bottle case full of Sandia's favourite vintage pours.

Jean-Marc Sélèque, Partition, Extra Brut 2013

The grapes are harvested from parcels in Dizy, Pierry, Vertus, and Epernay. The wine was aged on lees on cork for five years before disgorgement. It is a selection of 7 parcels in 7 barrels as 7 musical notes to create an harmonious blend, a Partition (Musical score in English). Rich with baked yellow fruits and sings with bright citrus zests. Listen to "Son of a Preacher" with this bottle.

Françoise Bedel et Fils, ‘L’ame de la Terre’, Brut 2002

An epic Champagne vintage, it has 14years of aging on the lees. Here’s what I think…candied fruits, dried apricots, cinnamon, pepper, ginger, blackberry compote, honey and a touch of sea salt. It makes me think of spiced Christmas cookies. It has a lovely savouriness to it as well. Perfect to open and drink now but should also be great to keep for a couple more years.

A. Margaine, Special Club, Brut, 2013

Arnaud is a member of the Club Trésors, a group of 28 winemakers, elected from the finest areas of the Champagne region, and a Special Club champagne is only made in outstanding vintage years. The 2013 comes from three parcels in Villers-Marmery, planted on chalky south and east-facing soils, whose average age is 35 years. After being bottled, the wine was aged for over 6 years on its lees. Beautiful creamy mousse, understated lemon curd, walnut butter with a full and long, yet refreshingly citrus palate.

Producer: A. Margaine

JL Vergnon, MSNL, Extra Brut, 2010

The Chardonnay comes from two parcels in Le Mesnil sur Oger; 70% from the infamous Les Chetillon and 30% from Mussettes.  This is the first vintage of this cuvee and a great birth vintage for it too! Vinified and aged fully in stainless steel and aged minumin of 7 years on the lees. Beuatiful golden green hues like the first summer sunlight with aromas of lemon zest, yellow flowers and freshly baked pastry. Palate is lean and striking with a long silky finish and a touch of moorish salinity at the end.

Producer: JL Vergnon

Cuveé: MSNL

Jeaunaux-Robin, Les Grands Nots, Brut, 2007

Full bodied and powerful but equally youthful at the same time. Yeasty brioche-like character with notes of green apple, lemon curd, peach, white flowers and crushed stones. The palate is beauti-fully balanced with notes of cream, fresh lemon, green apple and a concentrated finish.
