Eric Rodez

Eric Rodez is a magical wizard of Champagne. He is the 8^th generation winemaker of this family and now currently passing it along to his son Mickael.  Having previously worked at Krug, Eric returned to his family business in 1982.  His winery is located in the south-eastern part of the Grand Cru acclaimed village of Ambonnay, iconic for Pinot Noir. And to top off his CV, he is also the mayor of Ambonnay.  Eric is a mastery of blending, using different material vessels for vinification, malo and nonmalo fermentation, and blending his reserves to give his wine the distinctive layers of complexity.
