The Aube
Often described as the ‘Ugly Duckling’ of Champagne, the Aube has always attracted less visitors than the popular Epernay and Reims, thanks in part to its geographical location, which is much closer to Burgundy. Its strength lies in its unique terroir, which is similar to that of Chablis, but produces powerful Pinot Noirs. Some ‘silent ninjas’ of Champagne can be found here.
