P. Lancelot Royer
This 5 hectare family vineyard, located in the under rated grand cru village of Cramant, was founded in 1960 by Pierre Lancelot and then passed down to his daughter Sylvie and her husband, Michel Chauvet in 1996. Michel is one of the last true artisan Champagne makers. Whilst most cellar labour has been replaced by modern machinery, Michel still manages to riddle, disgorge and label everything by hand. The family has been able to maintain their human touch by prioritizing always quality over quantity. Not only are their Champagnes full of finesse and elegance, they always embodies the crystalline purity of the terroir of Cramant. Michel was also the first ever person to visit Bubbledogs back in 2012!
