RH Coutier
Coutier own a total of 8.5 hectares of vineyard within the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, famous for their Pinot Noir. The Coutier family has been in the village since 1619 and Antoine Coutier is the fifth generation winemaker of the family. Antoine’s grandfather was the first grower to plant Chardonnay in their village. The Coutier house style is marrying the traditional richness of Ambonnay fruits with the racy and pure style that the family loves. In 2019 the family started their organic conversion. Fun fact, Antoine’s godfather is the legendary Champagne producer and mayor of Ambonnay, Eric Rodez.
